WRA Offers Members a New Credit Card Processing Option

The Wyoming Retail Association now offers a new, expert merchant processing program that will provide members with greater savings on their credit and debit card transactions. The new program offers low rates and, unlike other processors, doesn’t advertise misleading teaser rates or tack on hidden costs or fees. WRA’s processing also provides many free services, including free supplies, free customer service and voice authorization calls, free set-up and programming, and no chargeback fees.  Read More »

Labor Department to Lower Proposed Overtime Threshold

The Labor Department will lower the salary threshold in its forthcoming rule to extend overtime coverage. The new threshold under consideration is $47,000, according to sources familiar with the Labor Department's deliberations. The overtime salary threshold determines the level below which virtually all salaried employees qualify for time-and-a-half pay if they work more than 40 hours in any given week. The threshold was $50,440 in the rule as proposed in July. The final rule is expected in mid-May.  Read More »

South Dakota Lawsuit Seeks to Overturn Quill

Last week the state of South Dakota filed a lawsuit seeking a determination that it may validly require out-of-state retailers to remit the state’s sales tax on purchases made into the state. This action sets into motion what we believe is a sound pathway to reconsider the precedent set in the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1992 decision in Quill, and level the sales tax playing field once and for all.  Read More »

Data Breach Shows you can Never be too Safe
